Location Analytics
Discover where your visitors come from with country, region, and city-level geographic data.
Overview
Location analytics helps you understand the geographic distribution of your audience. This data is invaluable for international marketing, content localization, and understanding your global reach.
Geographic Breakdown
Invoker provides location data at multiple levels:
See which countries your visitors come from with visitor counts and percentages.
Drill down into specific regions, states, or provinces within countries.
View city-level data to understand local audience concentrations.
How We Determine Location
Location data is derived from visitors' IP addresses using a geolocation database. Here's how it works:
- When a visitor loads your page, their IP address is briefly processed
- We look up the geographic location associated with that IP
- The IP address is then immediately discarded - we only keep the location data
- Location is stored at the country, region, and city level
Location Accuracy
Location accuracy varies based on several factors:
- Country: Highly accurate (99%+)
- Region/State: Very accurate (95%+)
- City: Good accuracy (80-90%)
Some factors that can affect accuracy:
- VPN and proxy users may show incorrect locations
- Corporate networks may show the company headquarters location
- Mobile users may show the carrier's network center
